World War 1 Day in Y3W

In Year 3 we compared town life in 1914 to how we live now. We focused on the shops on the high street, looking at rationing and we even touched on school dinners!

Year 3 enjoyed learning about the rationing and couldn't believe how little people had to eat! We looked at the rationing posters and how they promoted eating less, so there was more food to send to the soldiers! The children then created their own, here are a few posters to share with you all. Enjoy!
