Year One Christmas Party!
We have enjoyed an amazing party here in Year One, with lots of fun games including Musical Statues- which the children were very good at! We have feasted on a Christmas buffet that was absolutely delicious! Here is a picture of our amazing party food, thank you to all the grown ups that contributed to make it such a success! Have a lovely Christmas! From Year One :)
Merry Christmas from Y1N
We all dressed up in our Christmassy clothes today to support the Text Santa charities. We had lots of fun preparing for the Christmas season. We want to wish you all a very merry Christmas filled with lots of happiness and laughter! From Y1N :)
Christmas fun
Year 5 have had a very busy last day of term. We made Victorian lanterns. It got us in the Christmas Spirit.
We also had our class reward for our positive attitude to learning. We watched a movie in our pyjamas and even had a pyjama disco. Some wonderful dancers in the class. Merry Christmas from year 5.

Festivities in RG
We are feeling so festive today! We have loved wearing our party hats today and we were so excited for Christmas dinner. We had a lovely time eating our food to music and lots of smiles. This afternoon we even got to meet Santa! We got some brilliant presents for Reception that we can't wait to open tomorrow. As said by one child:
Santa visits Year 5
Santa came to visit today. Year 5 really enjoyed asking Santa questions. We are over the moon with our new monopoly board game for the class. We even sang a Song. Thank you Santa.
Feeling festive
Year 5 have been getting festive this morning decorating Christmas hats to wear at our Christmas dinner later.

Once upon a time
Story time in reception is always popular. Today we even asked Mrs Coak for an extra story after lunch time. We helped her by using phrases and shouting out the next word in the story. We are very good at remembering the characters and the structure of stories.
Radio Solent
The Shirley Warren Choir had the fantastic privilege to sing LIVE on Radio Solent this morning. They won a competition across the whole city and as a result will be going into Southampton City Centre this afternoon to sing. A massive congratulations to all the children involved, and a special mention has to be made to Mrs Mead!
If you want to listen again (or is you missed it first time round), here is the link to the BBC Radio Solent iPlayer. The show is Julian Clegg (16/12/2015) and the choir was singing at about 8:25am.
Santa's Little Helpers
Last Thursday we received some worrying news from Santa: he lost his reindeer. Our children knew they needed to help to save Christmas. Posters were written to let Shirley Warren know about the news and we looked high and low. Luckily the reindeer found one of our posters and realised they needed to return to Santa. Good work Reception!

Community choir performance
The community had a wonderful evening at Beston's funeral directors, singing for their Christmas memorial evening. It was a very festive and special evening. looking forward to singing with you all at our community carols next Thursday!
URGENT HELP NEEDED!!
Following our letters to Santa, Reception received a very important letter today. Santa needs our help! He has lost his reindeer and he is so worried they won't be back by Christmas and then he wont be able to deliver the presents. So far we only have clues of some footprints and half eaten carrots. If you see any sign of the reindeer please let us know!
Christmas performance with RG
We had a great time doing our second Christmas performance! Another great success. Thank you again to all the families that came to watch, a great time had by all.
