Year 4 Commemorate WW1
As part of the school's WW1 day, Year 4 learnt about the air raids in London during this time. We found out about how it was the first time that airships had been used in war and listened to some oral accounts of people who had lived through the bombings. The children produced some chalk pictures of the zeppelins being shot from the sky.

World War 1 Day in Y3W
In Year 3 we compared town life in 1914 to how we live now. We focused on the shops on the high street, looking at rationing and we even touched on school dinners!
Year 3 enjoyed learning about the rationing and couldn't believe how little people had to eat! We looked at the rationing posters and how they promoted eating less, so there was more food to send to the soldiers! The children then created their own, here are a few posters to share with you all. Enjoy!
Year 5 celebrated the World War 1 Centenary in musical fashion!
Year 1 commemorate World War 1
In year 1, as it is the 100 anniversary of the Start of World War 1, we learnt about the jobs that people did who stayed on the 'Home Front.' We then drew pictures on some of those jobs and wrote about why they were important. Here are a selection of them:
