Today year 5 braved the elements to complete the 'Earthquake Challenge'.
Furry friends
Today we met three new friends: Danni 2 (a wood mouse), Lucy (another wood mouse) and Princess Violet (a very stinky bank vole!) We were surprised to find out that they weighed roughly the same as a small bag of haribo!
Surprise visitors!
This evening Mrs Mann and Miss Jones popped over to our place and spent a bit of time with us! It was lovely to see them!

There's more...
In our free time today, the children made the most of a variety of activities- some even went on a 1 mile run with Miss Lott!
Shelter building
We all had fun building shelters in teams and then we tested their reliability; we found out that they weren't 100% waterproof!
Pond dipping
Fortunately the only creatures we found were nymphs and beetles... No Shirley Warren children!
Where are we?!
This morning we explored the grounds of Stubbington using compasses. Who needs Sat Nav?!
Year RS is learning about SPACE
As part of this term's topic we have been finding lots of new information about Space. Check out how much fun we had when looking for facts using computers, iPads and non-fiction books.
Good morning!
After a well earned sleep last night, the children are enjoying a delicious breakfast! We have lots of exciting activities planned for today including: orienteering, pond dipping, shelter building and a late night badger watch!

A beautiful day for a 4k walk a long the sea front!
We had our first visit to the beach today and the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We learnt about coastal defences and how environmental conditions affects the growth of trees and plants. After all this action the children should sleep well tonight.... Fingers crossed!
We've arrived!
The children are settling in well; we have unpacked in our dorms and eaten a delicious lunch!
Year 5 off to Stubbington
Here are some of the Year 5's before they leave for Stubbington. They will be posting all week, so we can't wait to see what they will up to. Good luck to Miss Lott and Mrs Carswell!!

Nursery's visit from the postman
Nursery had a special visit from Postman Andy last week!
He told us all about his job and showed us the different parts of the uniform he has to wear. Andy explained what he does when he delivers the letters and showed us the bag he takes round with him.
Postman Andy also had a special delivery for us all to take home - a letter to say thank you for listening. We really enjoyed meeting the postman - thank you for coming to visit us!
