Yesterday and today lots of parents and friends were treated to a very special production of A Miracle In Town by KS1.
Mrs Allen and all of the KS1 teachers worked really had to help the children learn words and songs and get into their costumes. Mrs Williams was very pleased with the singing.
This week Nursery took part in the World Nursery Rhyme Week Challenge! We sang a new Nursery Rhyme every day of the week: On Monday we sang Baa, Baa, Black Sheep On Tuesday we sang Down in the Jungle On Wednesday we sang Incy, Wincy Spider On Thursday we sang Row, Row, Row Your Boat On Friday we sang Two Little Dickie Birds We then had lots of fun activities to match our rhymes - can you guess which activities went with each rhyme?
Did you know this week was National Space Week? We were sent a song to sing which was written for children in Southampton. It had a fabulous chant in the middle with all of the planets named in it. The children from KS1 learnt the chant and the chorus while Mrs Williams sang the verse. We made up actions and then sang to our teachers in singing assembly. Mrs Williams was very impressed as she brought in an inflatable "Jupiter" and many children in KS1 knew which planet it was. Could you recognise any of the planets?
We have all had a great day rasing money for Comic Relief. We have been learning a song and dance which we performed together in singing assembly today. Big 'shout out' to the rappers and lead dancers!
We are so very proud of the children for their performances over the past two days! Thank you so much for all the hard work you have put in helping children to find costumes, learn their lines and song words. We'd like to share a few photos of our amazing cast with you!
We celebrated national singup day by hosting a federation choirs event.
Choir from Newlands, Sinclair, Holy Family and Fairisle joined our Key Stage 2 choir for an afternoon of singing.
The children sounded amazing and had a fabulous afternoon.
This was Nuserys first Christmas performance with RS and it was such a great success! Thank you to all the families that came to watch and to all the children who all sang so beautifully!
