RB's picnic in the sunshine!

RB had a lovely afternoon having a class picnic outside on the grass. RB gained all their marbles in the jar and voted for a picnic in the sunshine. We made our own sandwiches and got to spread them by ourselves. We sat next to friends in the big playground and played games using the giant scrunchie and parachute.

A Terrific Teddy Bears Picnic!

RB have had such a fun afternoon. As a result of getting all our marbles in the jar, RB voted for a teddy bears picnic! Today, all of the children brought in their favourite cuddly toys and we had picnic sandwiches with our teddies and friends. We had a special circle time at the end of our picnic where we discussed which cuddly toy  we had with us, and talked about  the exciting things we get up to with them outside of school. Out teddy bear picnic was a lovely way to end our last week of term before the Easter Holidays!

Treat in RG

RG worked hard the whole of last half term and earned their treat! We finished off the half term with a balloon party which was so much fun! Well done to everyone for their good learning, keep your eyes peeled on the blog to see our learning for our new topic ‘celebrations’.

6D Scooter Skills Session

6D won a competition when they recorder the different ways they travel to school over four weeks.

They were rewarded with a session from Bike It Jenny who brought in scooters (and helmets) for the children to try.



First, Jenny tested that the children could stop safely. 

There was a course to scoot round including "roundabouts" (hoops on the ground) and a "zebra crossing" (black and white flag).

The children also had a go at playing musical statues on scooters!
These are great ideas that you could try with a scooter in the summer holidays. If you don't have cones, you could put stones down carefully to scoot around.

RG's Treat

RG have been superstars and filled up the class reward jar with marbles! They chose to make their own jam or cheese spread sandwiches and have a picnic as their treat.

2S Class Reward!

We have been working hard all term, so what better way for us to finish off than with a film?! 2S have had a great time this afternoon, cuddling up with our teddies, watching Polar Express. What fun we've had! We can't wait to get started next term so we can earn our next class reward!

Merry Christmas, and have an amazing couple of weeks off! See you in 2018 :).

2S Bubble Party!

2S have had a great afternoon! After a half term of hard work, we had our Class Reward... A bubble party! What better way to finish the term, than with bubbles?!

We had so much fun blowing bubbles. Here are some pictures of us enjoying ourselves!

Boisterous bubbles and perfect playtime!

Year 2D have been super busy working on their learning behaviour and because we're such hard workers, we earned another class reward! What lucky chickens we are!

We voted and decided to have a bubble party! For those of you not in the know, a bubble party involves two key things: party-style celebrations and lots and lots of bubbles! We brought in some bubbles from home, shared some bubbles and the lovely N was kind enough to bring in a bubble machine... basically, we had a great time. Have a look at our party pictures!

Thank you to the super kind bunnies who shared their bubbles and to the lovely parents and carers that brought in enough bubbles to make Willy Wonka's fizzy lifting drink jealous. We're already working hard towards our next class reward!

2D's class reward

2D have had so many class rewards this term that I've completely lost count... All I know is they have been fabulous and truly deserving of a great afternoon of decorating biscuits using icing sugar, food colouring and some winter sprinkles! 

Have a look at us making a bit of a mess (sorry lovely cleaners) but also having a lot of fun and making some beautiful creations. We definitely have some future Great British Bake Off contestants in 2D! 

Well done, 2D, for being fabulous as always. We've had a brilliant week where you have been working hard on your Christmas production and you deserved a break and some fun! 

Year 6 become architects!

Year 6 have been working really hard this half-term and have earned their class reward. They chose to build their own dens to play in! Check out these photos to see how much fun they had creating them.

Year 2 Celebration Picnic

As a treat after working so hard over the past couple of week, Miss Derby and Mr Fairbank (along with the help of the amazing Mrs Croissant, Mr Samuelson and Mrs Kennedy) put on a picnic for all the fantastic Year 2 children. We danced, we ate, we smiled and we played. Take a look at these photos. We challenge you to not want to have joined us!

Class reward in Y4H!

In Y4H we reached our class reward! To celebrate we brought in our own comfy clothes and got cosy with cushions on the carpet for a film afternoon today!

Year 2D's class reward

In Year 2D, we earned a class reward in our first two weeks because we are incredible! Last week, we earned extra frogs on our class lily pad for lining up beautifully and walking to assembly so quietly that we had 3 comments about our lovely walking.

We had a vote, and decided that this time we would decorate some biscuits to take home. We had gingerbread men, some circle biscuits and some rectangle biscuits (perfect, since we've been learning about 2D shape)!

Here are some photos of us decorating biscuits and doing a wonderful job at it too - maybe we have some future contestants for the Great British Bake Off in this class.



Miss Derby and Mrs Croissant are very proud of the class for their fabulous behaviour, and Year 2D are already working hard towards their next class reward.

Y2F Class Reward

In Year 2F, we earned our class reward being complete superstars. We had a vote and we chose to bring our own toys in. We had great fun.

Minstead Study Centre

Year 5 won the best class attendance for the year, as a reward they were lucky enough to be able to go to Minstead Study Centre for the day! They went exploring in the New Forest, and played some games. We then walked back to the centre and were introduced to the chickens. We had our lunch in the round house and our guide for the day (Nick) told us stories by the fire. In the afternoon the children got to go pond dipping and they made their own 'cocktails' using herbs and other plants to create some lovely smelling potions!

Class reward for Year 4!

Year Four worked really hard and won all their stars! For their class reward they chose to have a class party. Here is a picture of them celebrating!
