The children sounded amazing and had a fabulous afternoon.
Today the Key Stage 2 choir gave their first public performance. With over 60 children this is the biggest choir yet and they sound amazing.
We can wait to hear more songs next term...
The top hall was rocking this morning with the sound of singing. we were extremely lucky to have a visit from Ray Sidney, a gospel singer all the way from Los Angeles. He worked with the choir all morning and we performed to the rest of the children.
It sounded amazing and was a great start to our choir this year.
We had a fantastic recording recording our school CD. A sound engineer set up his equipment in the hall and every class (from Pre-Nursery to Year 6) recorded their own song. We also sang as a whole school and even the staff recorded a song.
It sounded amazing. If you want to order your own copy please make sure your return the form and money to the school office by next Thursday.
A group of children from Key Stage 2 had a fantastic trip this week. They went to the Mayflower Theatre in Southampton to watch a performance of Oklahoma!
The children had a workshop in the morning and learnt to sing two of the songs from the show 'The farmer and the cowman' and 'Oklahoma!'. They then had a tour of the theatre and got to see backstage, on stage and sat right up in the balcony.
The show itself was fantastic with lots of great songs and dances.
